CURVY is proud to present in conjunction with Espionage Gallery ‘Athena Nochua’, an exciting group exhibition celebrating the talents of female artists from Australia and around the globe.

‘Athena Nochua’ will feature work from a selection of hand picked artists many of whom have graced a page or two of CURVY from its early beginnings in 2003. What started as an annual book and exhibition series in Sydney, Australia has now grown to become quite a hit around the globe indeed.

Included in the line-up of the 24 artists showing their works as part of Athena Nochua is well known french artist Fafi, a well loved CURVY favourite

This is the first time that CURVY is coming to Adelaide, so we hope you’ll join us at Espionage Gallery on Thursday the 13 June, to celebrate the the work of these talented female artists.

Majestic Minima Hotel : Art Room

The Majestic Minima Hotel in North Adelaide has been transformed into a creative space for guests and artists. A hand picked selection of local South Australian emerging and semi-established artists have each been commissioned to transform a room in the hotel. All 46 rooms represent the vision of these artists along the theme of 'creativity & creation'.

I was lucky to be selected as part of this exciting project. I painted Room #111 in May this year.

This March sees Espionage Gallery transform into wonderland.

Manager and curator Josh Smith has sought out 90+ artists, local and international to exhibit in his Alice in Wonderland themed show:

'We're all mad here'

The show opens March 14th at 6pm and runs for 2 weeks.

The Mather family and I surprised Eliza last month for her 21st birthday by recreating 'Nesting';

a painting of a little laundry monster hiding in nest-like basket. 

Unique to this composition is the individual items in the laundry basket.

The toy is buried in a pile of clothes belonging to the birthday girl.

Such a fun project to work on & for a lovely family! ♥
