This May I packed my bags for a trip to Sydney to attend the CURVY exhibition opening night and book launch at aMBUSH gallery. I also took this opppurtunity to attend the Semi- Permanent - Two day creative conferences at Sydney Convention Centre. Semi-Permanent is a world leading design conference that to date has hosted 29 events in 9 cities, covering 5 countries, with over 200 speakers and 50,000 attendees. In 2012, Semi-Permanent celebrates ten years of events- that's a decade full of stories and wisdom from industry idols.
Semi-Permanent speaks directly to the individual. It is a forum that welcomes all people with a mind open to creative ideas and the wide world of design. Attendees include Creative Directors Design Directors, designers, artists, photographers, digital creative's company leaders, agency personnel, product and fashion designers and pretty much anyone who operates as a creative. Semi-Permanent was born from a desire to unite the world's design communities with a premium creative experience by the creatives for the creatives.
Being in this venue with like-minded people was such an inspirational experience and I highly recommend attending these unique annual events to all those creatives out there. Semi-Permanent expose creatives from around the world and shows the details of how to make a career from art. Here is a video from the 2011 Semi Permanent (they haven't created a summary of 2012's yet) I love, love, love Semi-Permanent!

Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation are hosting a very special Mother’s Day fundraising luncheon at the National Wine Centre on Friday the 11th of May. I donated this set to help them reach their Luncheon target of $30,000 to purchase a new neo-natal incubator, one of four urgently needed by the Women’s & Children’s Hospital. A neo-natal incubator can mean the difference between life and death for a baby in NICU. (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). For more information about the Mother's May event please follow this link:
